Dr Kewley was asked to speak at this training day for professionals and parents on “How to diagnose and manage ADHD in a young person with autistic spectrum difficulty”. He emphasised the coexistence of the two conditions and the importance of treating each independently. He also emphasised that the term Asperger’s syndrome is often used in far too global way without recognition of the possibility of underlying ADHD or related difficulties.

The LANC was established by Dr Geoff Kewley, he started this Centre out of concern at the lack of appropriate service provision in the UK at that time for the assessment and management of children with complex neurodevelopmental difficulties particularly ADHD.
